TL;DR: ART PRO doesn't collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. Everything stays on your device. We don't track you, we don't analyze you, and we don't sell your data. Your privacy is absolute.

ART PRO is built with privacy as a core principle. We believe your art collection, client information, and business data belong to you—and only you.

Data Collection

What We Collect

Nothing. ART PRO does not collect any personal data, usage statistics, analytics, or telemetry.

What We Don't Collect

No personal information (name, email, phone)
No artwork data or images
No client information
No sales data or financial information
No usage analytics or app behavior
No crash reports or diagnostics
No location data (GPS coordinates are stored locally only)
No device identifiers or advertising IDs

Data Storage

Local Storage

All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This includes:

Artwork information and images
Client contact details
Sales transactions and invoices
Business information (stored in UserDefaults)
App settings and preferences

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud sync in Settings:

Your data syncs via your personal iCloud account
Data is encrypted by Apple end-to-end
We never have access to your iCloud data
iCloud sync is entirely optional and can be disabled at any time

Third-Party Services

No Third-Party SDKs

ART PRO contains zero third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The app is built entirely with Apple's native frameworks:

SwiftUI (user interface)
SwiftData (local database)
CloudKit (optional iCloud sync)
Contacts (optional import from Contacts app)
Photos (optional image selection)

Permissions

Why We Request Permissions

ART PRO requests the following permissions only when needed:

Camera Access

Required to: Take photos of artworks for your inventory.

What we do: Images are saved locally to your device. We never upload or share them.

Photo Library Access

Required to: Select existing photos of artworks from your Photo Library.

What we do: Images are copied to the app's local storage. The original photos remain in your library.

Contacts Access (Optional)

Required to: Import client information from your Contacts app.

What we do: Selected contact information (name, email, phone, address) is copied locally. We never sync or upload contacts.

iCloud Access (Optional)

Required to: Sync your data across your devices via iCloud.

What we do: Data is synced through your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. This is end-to-end encrypted by Apple.

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with anyone, ever.

When you use ART PRO's sharing features (export reports, email invoices), you control what is shared and with whom:

PDF exports: Saved to your device or shared via your choice of apps
CSV exports: Saved to your device or shared via your choice of apps
Email: Uses your device's Mail app—we never see the emails you send
Backups: JSON files saved to your device or iCloud Drive

Children's Privacy

ART PRO does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages.

Data Security

Local Security

Data is stored in the app's sandbox, isolated from other apps
iOS/macOS file system encryption protects data at rest
Device passcode/biometrics protect app access (via iOS/macOS)

Data Portability

Your data is never locked in:

Export complete database to JSON format anytime
Export reports to PDF or CSV
Delete all data by uninstalling the app (cannot be recovered)

Your Rights

Since we don't collect any data, there's nothing for us to access, modify, or delete. You have complete control:

Right to Access: All your data is on your device—you have full access
Right to Modify: Edit or delete any data directly in the app
Right to Delete: Uninstall the app to remove all local data
Right to Export: Export your data to JSON anytime from Settings

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our privacy practices (we don't plan to), we will:

Update this policy with a new "Last Updated" date
Notify users via App Store update notes
Never retroactively collect data from existing users
